Watch Dogs is near! + Xbox updates... its about time

Watch Dogs is around the corner for nearly every platform... except the Wii U version

Watch Dogs mobile multiplayer game play kind of reminds me of ZombiU's multiplayer... why? Well the control of the helicopter, cops, and hacking things in the environment from a tablet device (and likely with the Wii U Gamepad)... kind of reminds me of when zombies get placed in the environment in that game using the Wii U Gamepad.

I like how smooth the multiplayer looks in this game (not considering internet speed), and the way you can hop into it and out back into single player because the world is the same (without exiting and going back to the main menu). There are other games that have been known to do this also, it just seemed a lot quicker than what I've experienced in the past from other open world games.

I recommend it on PCWii U, and PS3 since you won't have to pay an online fee (though the Wii U version will be released at a later date). Its obviously going to be available for other platforms as well: PS4, Xbox 360, & XB1... so get it on the system you have or plan to have (if you plan on getting it that is). :p This game will be released on May 27th (2014), so order asap if you are trying to get it fresh.

For the people gaming on a budget... or simply refuse to pay monthly, quarterly, or annually to play the game online, you know the platforms we recommend Watch Dogs for.

If you plan to hold out for the Wii U version, I hope that it delivers in more ways than one. I hope that Ubisoft expresses why Wii U owners should hold out, because the later version should be the better version (just like with other games that get optimized). The delay may be a really good thing though for Ubisoft, because Mario Kart 8 is coming in just a few weeks... but if they don't present anything new, it should be lower in price if the release date isn't within a certain time frame. WA-DA-TAH!

Xbox One & Xbox Live Updates

Microsoft finally listened, you can enjoy Netflix & Hulu without the paywall on your Xbox consoles now. There are gamers that don't care about this and would've been fine paying to access these services, but if you already pay for the services, paying for another service to access them... isn't right. Another update includes Xbox One finally being sold without the Kinect for $399, and its about time it happened. It doesn't take away Xbox Live pricing, but if they add a bunch of exclusive content, and remove the online gaming paywall, it could change some minds (not every single one, but it could increase business for them).

If Xbox Live was like a cable TV service, and gave a free console with an agreement of several years of service, that could gain subscribers that want the service for the long haul. They could maintain the monthly service, but making the online gaming free could bring more people to the system, and considering the fair move made recently... perhaps (just perhaps) they will consider something like this. There are people that use the services just as much as they play games online.

Should Nintendo do the same with the Nintendo Wii U? Maybe. I think they should give customers an online option to order the console with contents the way they want it. If there were options to get the Wii U with your choice controller (Gamepad, Wiimote, Pro Controller), and choice of hard drive size... it could work. Options could provide various price tags making it more affordable to some (who can't afford it at full standard prices) and more appealing to others (who may not want a gamepad or may want a bigger hard drive).
