New games + Twitch going to Youtube? ...#%&*! + Atari going back to hardware? Hmmm

Things have been very busy around here, but there will be a lot of activity when it comes to E3 and news surfacing around the E3 2014 window. By the way, do not wait around for the FCC situation to bite you in the butt, sign a petition, speak out, fight back! If you pay for a certain speed of internet, and internet service providers (that receive your money to give you that amount of internet speed) end up (possibly) affecting the speed of websites... then what good is your internet speed?

YouTube agrees on a $1 billion deal for Twitch? Is this a good thing or a horrible idea?

Looking at how Google does things at times, I don't know where this may go. YouTube was huge and they were bought and a bunch of changes were made, and I have no idea of what may happen to Twitch, but thinking about it... it might not be that bad but this is another thing that may be affected if Google hits a wall.

I'm not thrilled about this (even if it turns out just fine) because monopolies are not a good idea.

Atari's CEO (Frederic Chesnais) may be looking to plug back into hardware... and as long as it isn't a console... it may work out for them. Actually it may not be a bad idea to do a console, but that's one heck of a risk considering the challenges (not to mention the competition), and there would be doubts beyond it being a hard sell (I say it wouldn't be a bad idea, but that doesn't mean it would be a good one either... the 1st party games would have to be the best of the best... of the best).

Their best bet (in my opinion) would probably be something gaming PC related with a focus on the living room, a great UI, all the necessary ports, and fantastic performance (it could be a steam machine, but Atari would likely want their brand to stand out over Valve).
