Princess Peach + Chris McQuinn downs non-Vita owners? + Star Wars 1313 + Conception II: Cot7S

Peach finally joins Mario & Luigi with her own Wiimote!

Is it about time? I can't say that its a bad thing, because it is a product that appeals to people that like Peach, including fans of pink, princesses, collectors, etc. Its not exactly available yet, it will be headed our way later this month (April 2014)... probably along side Mario Kart 8!

Every time I see Wiimotes, I think of how Namco is totally sleeping on Nintendo when it comes to... Time Crisis games. You don't need light guns, and Wiimote gun cradles are optional, I think a Time Crisis collection would do well.

Sony PS Vita doesn't deserve a bad reputation, but... should the non-Vita owners?

This isn't a segment dedicated to bashing the PlayStation Vita... that's not what this is about, but I had to chime in on what a developer said recently because gamers were put down in the process. Chris McQuinn (from the studio that developed Guacamelee) said this... "Honestly, Vita owners are the ****ing best".

Here's the thing though... you can give some gamers props without crapping on the rest, and that comment basically says "Honestly, non-Vita owners are the ****ing worse" or beneath Vita owners.

He has to remember... Guacamelee isn't on the PlayStation Vita alone, there are more than a few gamers who would refuse to buy the game or any of their other titles because of this comment. Why support a developer that looks down on gamers?

I think the Vita is a great handheld (and felt that the 3DS should've had dual circle pads) and some great things can be done with it... some are still waiting for those things to be done with the Vita (which can also be applied to the Wii U as far as some are concerned). He just has to beware about what he is saying that might possibly come back to haunt him (whether or not its just a figure of speech).

Star Wars 1313 on the Wii U exclusively? Hmmm

Had a conversation with someone recently (Baby Fury Gaming... actually) and Star Wars 1313 came up based on another Star Wars IP that could've been an exclusive to Nintendo but was ultimately cancelled (which has been a topic that has come up with a few news outlets). He felt that the game would be appreciated more if it were released on the Wii U first (if it wasn't cancelled that is). There have been multiple games in the past that have been wish listed when this occurred, but I can't say with 100% certainty that's the reason though.

LucasArts sadly sold to Disney who foolishly handed over the reigns of Star Wars games to EA (duh of the day), so even if it were an exclusive IP set for release on Nintendo platforms... it probably would've been cancelled anyway. It would be a completely different story for a lot of games if Nintendo had Origin, because most (if not all) of EA's games would likely be on the Wii U... for the life of the system. Will EA surprise us? I'm not holding my breath, but that doesn't mean that things don't happen... if they do though, may quality be the primary factor.

By the way... Conception II: Children of the Seven Stars is now available, so if you've been looking forward to it and want to support the developer... buy new! Why? Well... if you can afford to do so, the support increases the likelihood of more games from Atlus on the 3DS.
