Nintendo E3 2014 + Digital Event + Super Smash Bros. Events + More!

This week is flying by... and we have some awesome updates... E3 E3 E3 is what this article is about (yes that's correct E3), and its almost about that time. Why are we talking about it now? Well... Nintendo is making moves that they want you to know about ahead of time. CAAANNN YOOUUU DIIIGGGG IIITTT?!! :p


Nintendo's taking a similar... yet improved approach to 2013's E3 set up, with their "Nintendo Digital Event 2014"! 

Remember Nintendo's 2013 approach to E3 that had some of us applauding them (like Nintendo-Demand) and some completely flipping out? Well, they will be building onto it, so expect for the Nintendo Digital Event to air @ 9a.m. (PT) on Tuesday, June 10th (2014). I really think that this is 100% the way to go, we've contacted them about this approach, and feel that regardless of what people say about it, it makes an impact that's in favor of Nintendo. I'd probably take up some of the main stage time with no props or anything, no speakers, just a quick video... to tell people that the event will be taking place in a certain area or at a certain website though (so that they can go check it out if they don't usually go check out anything that may not air anywhere else beyond a set outlets broadcast). It seems like they are taking matters into their hands more and more to avoid information being provided through outlets that aim to bash (based on preference) more so than providing the information. If its the best way to get things done... so be it.

Nintendo Treehouse will be Live @ E3! So don't get it twisted... they will be there, just look for the crowded booth in person... and online!

This year Nintendo is saying that they will offer fans a deeper look at Nintendo's biggest games of E3, with information directly from the source. It will be live and unscripted from Nintendo's booth, it will be streamed live during the entire E3 show, so basically you can literally kick back with your browser and experience the Nintendo E3 booth. I think its awesome that they are making this move and welcoming people to take in what they have to offer without being there physically.



Super Smash Bros. events!

Super Smash Bros. Invitational is welcoming 16 highly skilled players to take each other on at the NOKIA Theater (in L.A.)... and it will be live and taking place on the Nintendo Wii U. Is Nintendo listening? We mentioned to Nintendo that tournaments should be held for the new SSB & Mario Kart to showcase how awesomely competitive these games can be... and here is a welcomed response. Information on how you could go and attend in person will be announced shortly... along with the info on how to access the event via webcast.

Super Smash Bros. Smash Fest @ Best Buy, this isn't a shocker... but it is most welcome. Nintendo is doing a smart thing with their partnerships, just like in 2013 when Nintendo brought E3 to select Best Buy locations.... they're right back at in in 2014 with Smash Fest. So you will be able to go to participating Best Buy stores and have the opportunity to play SSB for Wii U. I don't have any info on whether the Smash Fest will include small tournaments at Best Buy locations, but that would've been sweet.


Keep a look out for Filsamech, he has been sighted around the Nintendo Treehouse jacking power outlets for energy as he prepares for E3. I guess he is getting his body fully... "Regginerated" for the event. :p
