Square-Enix could've delivered KH3 to Wii U instead of a re-released game to PS4 & XB1! Etc.

Square-Enix could've delivered KH3 to Wii U instead of a re-released game to PS4 & XB1! Official Steam Machines aren't that great. GameStop's Xbox One stock collecting dust, but i'll tell you what's funny about that at one store, before we prepare to fight and retrieve Net Neutrality!

I have been playing through Tomb Raider on my PC (finally... even though my time is limited), and I can't help but think about what Square-Enix is doing as far as a "Definitive Edition" is concerned. It's not exactly a DE, more so it's something like a "Game of the Year Edition" with visuals that have no choice but to be better on the PS4 and XB1.

I feel that it's a waste... and a risk. It's a waste to me, because I feel that the resources invested in that... could've TOTALLY (x 10) went towards creating a Wii U version of Kingdom Hearts 3 (because the game isn't out yet and would be new with a justifiable full retail price like the other versions).

Why in the world wouldn't that be the better option? (I don't know who or what resources they have and what it would've require to make the game on the Wii U... but it would likely have more interest than a re-released Tomb Raider that can be bought for a lower price on prior consoles and PC... with nearly the exact same experience. You can get it at this link "new" for $15 and used for less on PS3 & XB360 minus the DLC; PC is about $20.)

If you haven't seen the Steam Machines revealed at the CES2014... it's safe to say that I wasn't exactly pleased. Looking at the price of a lot of those Steam Machines... they were crazy expensive (one with the max price of $6000... that's a freaking used car, PC, game console, new wardrobe, rent, gas for a few months, and groceries based on wise spending). I'm not paying thousands or close to a thousand for something that doesn't have specs that exceed what can be built for less... and does less than my pc. The max RAM I've seen was 16GB... but I have that now. An affordable model can work, with decent specs that rival PS4 & XB1... and if it's upgradable (at that price, which I believe each one is customizable)... that would be appealing. I thought that i'd see one that was more so a streaming device that connected to your TV and had a wireless connector or ran through your network... but I didn't. I am hopeful that one will be created if I didn't overlook it.

It's not a bonus for me, and the games have to increase in order to increase the interest... but quite a few stores have Xbox One consoles sitting on the shelves and not moving as quick as the PS4 (granted it is $100 more). I found it funny to see GameStop stores trying hard to push the console off on people, and damage controlling (even if the person didn't know what happened). A hand made poster about what the system can do and what isn't restricted... is something I wasn't going to speak about... but I didn't see anything of the sort for the Wii U (at all). GameStop is a bit more in Microsoft's pocket though.

By the way... fight for NET Neutrality (it can be revived if more than enough people give a crap), because too many people sit back and just let things happen, until it happens and THEN the complaints come. If you know about it and you don't feel like speaking out against something or doing something about it... no need to complain about it later (especially if you aren't going to do anything about it then). The people are the power that keeps the system going and the system is meant to serve the people... remember that.

The FCC's Open Internet Order was shot down by 3 Federal Judges in D.C. (judges that need to be replaced if they prove to be in the pocket of companies). You're already paying for your internet, and with Net Neutrality out of the picture, the same internet provider that you are paying and maintaining their companies (based on your hard earned money so that they can treat you like brainless cattle) will be able to block or slow down any applications, services, or websites they disapprove of... as if you're their child (they will decide what you can have access to... pretty much). Your bill won't drop if that POSSIBLY happens, but Net Neutrality was shot down for a reason... but it needs to be obtained again.

If you care... contact:

FCC's Chairman Tom Wheeler: Tom.Wheeler@fcc.gov

General information, comments & inquiries: fccinfo@fcc.gov

(I will be contacting them to see what people can do in the name of gaining back Net Neutrality. If the majority of the people want it, its not up to a select few with a crap load of money to decide otherwise.)

I hope to see more Net Neutrality videos and posts as soon as possible (and Boycott Verizon if you have other options)... this video in particular is from a fellow Nin-Dem. :D Spread the word, because the situation is still fresh, and this is most likely the calm before the storm of greed we will be facing from ISPs like Verizon ready to fatten their pockets (although they should be plump enough). When I look at this... I honestly get concerned for gaming also, because if they can potentially affect apps and streaming sites, then what about other types of digital content?

If you need to use the internet in order to download a digital copy of a game, and the 1st & 3rd party developers all of a sudden have to pay in order to gain access to you or you have to pay more (even though you're the wind under the wings of their business)... then that would just be bad. It could promote more retail investments, but digital gaming isn't the only thing in that boat. Verizon is planning on charging added fees for online content to be enjoyed at a fast rate (so I see HD being knocked down to SD in order to stream properly on a number of devices).

I haven't received a response from the FCC yet, but I hope that they are truly fighting... I will continue fighting (and I hope that the rest of you do the same; though a few have already started). I made a post about this in itself, because it is just that big of a deal. I'm getting tired of these greedy bastard... they are begging for an open source crowd funded competitor because the business they are receiving will never be good enough.
