Nintendo on iOS? ...Why? (Again) Just buy a Nintendo platform. Pokemon games on Virtual Console? Makes sense to me.

Do you see the strong desire some have for Nintendo to just die or give up on its platforms? I just looked at someone as if they were out of their freaking mind... because they just didn't understand why or how Nintendo is still in business and feels that they should be a software only company... as if their life depends on Nintendo's failure. It's quite weird, but maybe their stability is just that mind blowing to some.

If Nintendo were to create games for mobile, i'd rather it be some sort of Nintendo 4G LTE phone with it's own NintendOS... i'd buy that (check out one of our posts from a while back). It could be a full handheld and phone... and i'd play the crap out of it. I could see Miiverse friends contacting you on your phone from theirs, or another compatible Nintendo device, etc. and Miis can interact based on a call, text, game invite, calender notification for a meet up, etc.

Nintendo should never consider selling themselves short by releasing their desired content on other platforms, because there is no need to (and I doubt they would, they have billions in the bank to work with... but its good to be careful anyway... at least to a healthy extent). Those (possibly paid) to spew negative press about the company in hopes they go 3rd party only, are out of luck... unless they buy a Nintendo platform because I just don't see that happening.

I will say that Nintendo should make some power moves on a few studios though (as far as possibly buying them out), and they really should increase their focus on indie (in the designated department). Quite a few Indie developers are coming up with a lot of strong creative titles... and with strong 1st party support from the big N... both sides would benefit (quality in quantity that fills slots and gives us a lot to look forward to in between some of the bigger 1st & 3rd party titles).

Nintendo's Anti-Piracy Product Security was confirmed lawful by Europe's highest court  recently. There is a crap load of piracy too, which obviously extends beyond Nintendo... but a lot focuses on the companies products also (I've even seen a few games in app stores for sale), so there is obviously interest in the companies offerings. If it's harder to obtain Nintendo's games beyond official purchases though, it may began to show in actual sales.

Recently +ossiel+ on Miiverse posted something in the Pokemon X & Y community that I completely agree with. There should totally be digital versions of every past Pokemon games available in the Virtual Console, it gives gamers the option of backtracking the way we're able to with other VC titles, and increases the potential profit for Nintendo.
