Want to take a deeper look at aspects of Mario Kart 8 and what it may bring? Check out this video.
It may have elements from Mario Kart DoubleDash & the original game. What caught my eye were the various paths, and there is likely more than you can experience on a track in one race, considering the fact that there appears to be 6 paths in some areas (and possibly more). They are displaying the power of the system in visuals, but also in game features... and I love it. They are hard at work with this game based on a recent response, and I just can't wait to get my hands on it. It's funny... I've seen fantastic visuals in many games (and own plenty of them), but it's going to be soooo on when Nintendo releases these games. This is a perfect eSport title to me, and deserves a lot of tournament time. I will be bringing this up, because a tournament would be a great way to launch the game and show that it's ready for others to do the same (on a serious & fun level).
This came to mind based on a recent trip to Walmart's game section (outside of seeing quite a few crazies at the store), I didn't see any Wii U's, PS4's, or XB1's. I thought I missed some type of deal... but they were gone (pending restock), and the topic of Mario Kart came up with some guy over near a discount DVD bin.
90's Arcade Racer also came up, and for the sake of sales... I hope that they sell the game for a realistic price because if it's going to be released Mid 2014... it will be around the same time frame as Mario Kart 8. I don't know if the price of that will change, but this indie racer may allow for over 20 racers and the price will be the siding factor (because if someone can't afford Mario Kart just yet, and there is an affordable race, one may seek an alternative for the sake of having... something).
