Good news for Swords & Soldiers 3D owners! Etc.

Good news for Swords & Soldiers 3D owners. No achievements? That's a huge problem for some gamers... here's why... BUT... Oh yeah... and the Wii U just turned 1 a few months ago, so wth are some gamers talking about?

If you own or plan to own Swords & Soldiers 3D... the update is coming sooner than later. I wasn't able to get an exact date, but at least they were honest. The frame rate has been successfully increased, and they are currently working on adding in DLC... which I believe is the "Super Saucy Sausage Fest"... possibly coming at us for free (if you own the game that is). I applaud them for actually giving a crap and not leaving the game in a way that could've been improved.

Speaking of improvements... I received feedback that didn't really surprise me about the lack of achievements on the Wii U & 3DS.

90+% of over 50 people not buying a Wii U or 3DS... said that the reason they aren't buying either, is the lack of achievements. Nintendo has the option of adding this in... for the people that want it (I hope to see that occur this year). I believe that system achievements are coming to give Wii U developers the option of making such things available in their games, but that should also include the 3DS beyond just the Mii Plaza. That concept should be broadened to apply to the games on both platforms (again for the people that want it), and with Miiverse in mind, it would be cool to see them (possibly) placed in a game in the exact area a person accomplished them. I say possibly because it may provide a little too much insight in terms of strategy (no cakewalks needed here) and even spoilers. It should definitely be cross-platform linked to your Nintendo Network ID. :p

If that's the only reason some will not purchase either system... I can't say it's a crappy excuse because I feel that gameplay is more important (though I would play a game even more if they were added... since I like them as well), more so... I have to respect the want if its something important to them. 50+ people do NOT represent the masses, but if there is something (I feel is on the simple side) that can be implemented in for the sake of those that will not purchase until that occurs... it's worth it.

Achievements give some of us more to strive for in a game, and its a true accomplishment if it was really difficult to obtain. That's added replay value. Bayonetta 2 came up the most as far as achievements are concerned, not to mention X, and Mario Kart 8.

By the way (based on recent conversations), Nintendo Wii U was released in Nov. 2012... (Nov. 2013 just passed), sooooo the Wii U is just over a year old. If someone has difficulty counting, that's kind of a personal problem... the Wii U hasn't been out for over 2 years. lol Overactive imaginations amplify assumptions and even run the risk of turning facts into fiction... so I had to correct a few people who put the blame on a few media outlets (...shocking).
