It's Friday... and you know what that means, Super Smash Bros 3DS Demo! + Final Fantasy games + Fifa & other playable Yaddas!

Sept.19th (2014)... felt like it would never come, but its here and I hope you have your 3DS ready to hit that download button at 9am PT (why? You know why... you read the title of the article!) so that you can try out the Super Smash Bros 3DS... demo!

In this demo... you can expect 5 playable characters: Mario, Link, Pikachu, Villager, and (the... Blue BOOOMMMBBEERRR) Mega Man!

You can also expect one stage... and the ability to play local multiplayer with fellow gamers that have downloaded the demo. So if you have the time this weekend and you're close enough to a group of fellow gamers with 3DS's... chow down on some delicious eats and get your game on (have a sleep over if you fancy)!

The full version is right around the corner, so pre-order yours now! Japanese gamers have gotten their hands on the full version already and the game shot up to #1... so expect to have plenty of stiff competition out of the gate.

Are... You... Ready?

We've played the demo, and...

After playing the demo for Super Smash Bros 3DS this past weekend... we feel that they've done a great job on the handheld version. It took me some getting use to (especially with the shoulder buttons), but it looks good... and feels good after awhile (at least to me). I won't go into detail since a full review would be of the full game one of these days, but... i'd recommend getting the 3DS version if you want to play the game on the go (which can be awesome on long trips or hanging out with friends at a park or something). The Wii U version is recommended for full HD visual quality plus the comfort of a full controller. If you plan on getting it, show some love to Nintendo-Demand by buying it at the link above.

By the way... Link is easily my fave in this demo.

If you're itching for a rhythm game (I may suggest taking a shower first... and then) check out Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy - Curtain Call... which also has a demo available on the eShop. You may be able to dominate (and feel pretty good about yourself) with the Basic Scores... but don't get confident until you're able to take on at least one Ultimate Score with an SS score (that would signify that you're able to follow commands fast enough and still maintain accuracy... while looking like a complete badass).

Speaking of Square-Enix, we were notified yesterday about the Final Fantasy XIII series being released for Steam. Final Fantasy XIII will be available for $14.99... Oct. 9th (2014).

We recommend getting one of the Ultimate Editions on either PS4 or XB1 (if you have one of those platforms). Hey EA, can you do something like... give owners of these versions the option to simply pay for a DLC upgrade if they own a previous version already? You can make that exclusive to the eShop versions, but do something... fair!

Hyrule Warriors... is also creeping up on Sept. 26th (2014) on the Wii U, so if you're a huge fan of Zelda, Link, and/or games like Dynasty Warriors, etc., this might interest you.
