Nintendo Events! + Azure Striker GUNVOLT + Pax Prime & Other Yaddas

Friday is here already (jeez)... time is flying by, and we hope that you've been enjoying a ton of gaming during this time (get in some game time for me)!

Azure Striker GUNVOLT is coming... Aug. 29th (2014) just as Pax Prime 2014 takes off!

This games looks like it should be fun. I hope its extremely challenging and there is a difficulty setting to increase that challenge... while at the same time hopeful that its packed with content that includes a satisfying story. Why wouldn't I want a satisfying story over something that's nothing more than a quick buzz? (Pun intended) Well... that leaves way to a sequel, and great games that have room to make a story span a franchise vs one title... are always welcome (unless they feel drawn out to a pointless degree).

Though the games are not the same, this feels like the appetizer before the Mighty No. 9 meal, a game that should definitely rock the socks off of many to show how much badass the title is. I want it to be satisfying for everyone that supported and fought for Mega Man (aka Rockman... aka the Blue Bomber... aka the character Capcom treated like chopped liver). It doesn't even matter... but I want the game to be so successful based on its awesomeness... that they (Capcom) kick themselves in the butt (figuratively).

Anyway... Azure Striker GUNVOLT will be available at the date listed above on the 3DS (eShop) for $14.99 USD!

Like the main character's look here? Expect for it to differ based on your region.

Pax Prime 2014 is on its way... and the duh of the day is... Nintendo will be there!

Pax Prime will run from Aug. 29th - Sept. 1st (2014), and along with Nintendo... there will be a bunch of developers with a slew of games to show off for your enjoyment. I just hope that they aren't all repeats... so that the people in attendance have some of the newest new to look forward too.

Where does #SmashBash fit into all this? Well... Nintendo will be bringing SSB 3DS to various locations in Seattle on both Friday & Saturday... so that games in the area can get a taste what's to come. The locations will be revealed on Nintendo's social media pages... and if you're in the area... stay tuned.

This event is open to the public.
There will also be a Hyrule Warriors event after Saturday's Pax day comes to a close. If you want in on it, the event will be located at the Renaissance Seattle Hotel... and will from from 7pm to 10pm (August 30, 2014). Zelda fans that wear any Legend of Zelda gear or a Hyrule Warriors T-shirt... can enter a drawing to win Hyrule Warriors concept art from Nintendo... which is pretty cool (just keep in mind that a pic must be tweeted out in order take part in it and the winner is chosen at random).

If you plan on going... Pax Prime 2014 will be going on at the Washington State Convention Center (Seattle, WA). Enjoy!

Other games that will be available at the event for Nintendo are:

Super Smash Bros | Wii U
Bayonetta 2 | Wii U
Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker | Wii U
Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric | Wii U
Stealth Inc. 2 | Wii U
Swords & Soldiers 2 II | Wii U

(More activities will also be available.)

PS4 owners denied Rise of the Tomb Raider because of Uncharted 4?

If they feel that RotTR will be the answer to Uncharted 4 on the PS4, then the deal was probably struck to avoid the game being overshadowed on the PS4 because of Uncharted 4. The business side can suck the fun out of gaming at times... if you let it, but its hard to resist when a games availability is affected.
A lot of gamers get games to play them... not to focus on being a number to add to other numbers to compete against other numbers (reread it if you were thrown for a loop). When I heard that response though, I also heard "Hey PS4 owners are getting Uncharted 4, so were giving Xbox One owners the next Tomb Raider... exclusively". More than enough gamers want all types of huge games on their console of choice... because options are good, and I spoke to someone recently who felt like it was wrong because it isn't the start of the franchise that happened to be exclusive to Xbox One. Bayonetta 2 came up, but as the previous edition of Nintendo-Demand listed... they didn't end up exclusives for the same reason.

Knowing that the exclusive is not going to remain that way forever... should allow for non-Xbox One owners to enjoy it at a later time, which better come at a lower price (because... "Why not?"; a GOTY version would be best). Will this exclusive help either party involved... if not both? (I sincerely hope it does for their sake) I just don't see it catapulting the franchise into this amazing revolutionary marvel (no offense to anyone), i'm just looking at a successor of a previous console known for its multiplayer... and trying not to assume that sales would be impacted because of that (and the multiplayer wasn't exactly something bragged about in the 1st installment of this rebooted franchise; make the multiplayer great or leave it out so that time and resources can go into adding additional game content in the single player campaign).

The 2nd installment of Tomb Raider could have a good co-op if they figured out a way to make it worth playing again and again.

Nintendo eShop time!!!

Disney Infinity is free on Nintendo Wii U eShop... but you still have to buy a figure and a base in order to play it, so technically it isn't free. I think Disney may be doing that to 1 up Skylanders, and probably as a way to say "Our game has been downloaded over THIS MANY times". Its not a big deal, but it is sneaky & clever at the same time. :p
