GTA CTW on Wii U, Ninjas, Kinect + Yadda

The more affordable the games are... the better, but will more AAA developers be willing to embrace that $39.99 to $49.99 range? Hopefully some give it a try, especially if they are pushing mobile games.

Stubbornness, a lack of communication (during development), ignoring the vision of talented team members (and the feedback of testers), not listening to the audience, pricing games poorly (etc.)... are all things that can increase the chances of doors closing. Deals catch eyes, and... a good deal is something that a lot of gamers don't like to miss out on, and (at times deals always seem to pop up when the pockets just don't have enough to cover the expense but) increased affordability can ultimately increase the sales of newly released games.

We are not expecting developers to release huge games for dirt cheap prices, but isn't there a possibility that good games at affordable prices are able to get love similar to mobile? Even if the lower prices are primarily the digital versions... that could work (because retail requires profit shares for additional parties), Valve's Steam is a perfect example of this... but retail can have exclusive content or free content to boost the appeal at full retail (if its good).

It may tick some developers off, but some will agree with us that some games aren't even worth the $59.99 price tag... resulting in some gamers cutting their losses by seeking a quick resell. That is great for gamers who can't afford the new price tag, but it doesn't help in the grand scheme of things if numbers hit a wall because of overpriced low quality games (which includes the pretty ones that lack substance). The more affordable the games... the better... unless they are extensive titles.

I'm not coming down on EA's Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning (I've played the game myself), but the whole 38 Studios & Rhode Island situation may knocked out by having a complete GOTY digital copy for $5 across all platforms (its available for)... at least until the bill is covered (if it gets covered). There are games out there who want a sequel to this game, but the safest route would be crowd funding.
Maybe even a smaller title to carry the franchise forward, followed by others based on results... could work.

Looking at the large amounts of money required to develop some games... there has to be a smarter approach (without the games being full retail clones that lack their own charm). If games are more affordable... the possibility of dual, and triple purchases, etc... become a lot more realistic. The Wii U has been getting games in this range, and the 3DS games have almost always been priced in this range or less... even the upcoming Professor Layton vs Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney game is $29.99. Granted we don't know how extensive PLvsPWAA is... if its awesome... it should definitely be considered as a great example of what could be done (and may it prove successful).

Speaking of affordable games... don't miss out on the newest Humble Bundle that's all about 2K!
Humble 2K Bundle

If you aren't familiar with Humble Bundle... you basically give a buck or more (which goes to charity, developers, and the creators of this awesome initiative) and in return (as a thank you) you get games. This is one of the better bundles (personally) and if you have a few bucks and a PC that can run the games... don't miss out. There are a lot of big games here, and even if you don't like any of them but want to give to Action Against Hunger... you have that option (along with the option to gift the games to someone else, especially if you already have them).

BioShock
The Bureau: XCOM Declassified
The Darkness II
BioShock 2
Mafia II
Spec Ops: The Line
XCOM: Enemy Unknown

Will the Kinect v2 for Windows be worth the money... more so on PC than XB1 (if at all)?

Hmmm... that's a good question, and if there's no funny business, we feel that it could be. There are still concerns about it being NSA's eyes into your home though (even if you aren't doing anything suspect... its almost as creepy as a stalker. Sing it with me(!)... "Sometimes it feels like, Kinect is watching meeeeee!", that's probably because it is (and that stinks if its on... viewing and listing to its owner unbeknownst to them).

Microsoft, if you pull the plug on any type of shenanigans (yep I said shenanigans)... it could actually help business (just focus on getting your products and services out there, steer clear of the stuff that may rub customers wrong... like trying to force things on someone; awesome can almost sell itself).

Sell the Kinect 2.0 with some great software that serves the consumer, and nothing else... that'd be considered a win which could help people in the office (with Cortana software perhaps), users with disabilities, parents with kids who want to make sure that they can't just hop online and search the web for things beyond their years, and possibly even gaming (which would be funny and sad if something awesome can come of it on PC though it hasn't stood strong for gaming on the target console).

For $199.99... it better do something awesome including no restrictions beyond its specs, and imagination.

Remake of GTA Chinatown Wars on the Wii U... running on GTA V engine?

If Watch Dogs does well on the Wii U... do you think that Rockstar should consider releasing a GTA game on the Wii U? They won't be the exact same type of game, but they are in a similar boat. GTA V would be preferred by some, but making something different like a full console version of GTA Chinatown Wars... could be well received. On the telly... it could be like GTA V except set in Chinatown, and on the gamepad... it could be in 2D to represent the UI and map in a creative way. Since it wouldn't be as big as GTA V it could be an eShop title for as reasonable price.

Again, the longer Ubisoft takes to release Watch Dogs on the Wii U... the lower that price really needs to be, unless there is going to be more content. We can't stress this enough because you can't blame Wii U owners if some feel that they're getting the short end of the stick (keep this in mind).

All parts can now be viewed on mobile so that Nin-Dems have access on PC, mobile and other web enabled devices (i'm watching part 3... which will be added to the page soon)!
