This weekend may gain your attention if you're interested in the... 2014 Pokemon US National Championships!
The event runs from Saturday (which starts 12pm EDT July 5th) to Sunday (starting at 9am EDT July 6th, 2014), and you will be able to enjoy both card and video game battles.
Holy Guacamelee... its the Super Turbo Championship Edition for the Wii U!

This time around you can unlock new luchador powers, suplex skeletons, etc. in this expanded version of the original. Perhaps the Guacamelee team & Capcom (
Dead Rising 3) decided it was time to take off the gloves and go crazy with the titles this year (no objections here). If you get more of a game that some of you likely enjoy the crap out of... then this is probably the version for you.
Splatoon... Splatoon... hope to see ya again real soon!

We've contacted Nintendo about this... and have even mentioned it here, how on time it would've been for Splatoon to be released this summer on the Wii U. If the game was listed as "Available Now", there probably would've been a nice sales boost from the awesomeness alone. We've mentioned the other day that if its possible, it would be great to have a demo released this summer... even if its time sensitive so that everyone can get a taste of whats to come when this game releases. That would've been a killer way to deliver E3 to the living room! (Take notes Nintendo... take notes!)

Why is this game being mentioned again, when it has already been mentioned in our jam packed E3 article? Well... that's just how much it has been on our mind, as well as the minds of others, and you wouldn't believe how many non-Nintendo gamers have been talking about this game. Everyone will not always enjoy the same types of games, but there have been people lacking interest in all types of awesome titles... but this one has sealed the deal when it comes to buying a Wii U (which some contribute to the art style, while others based on the gameplay and new way to challenge the competition). This isn't discrediting Nintendo at all... but this reminds me of one of those feel good titles on the Sega Dreamcast, it really does. There is a crap load of fan art for the game already and this game may become a cult hit, etc.
It just feels like a missed opportunity not having such an awesome game released during a time when not many major titles are being released... because it totally could've been the summer of Splatoon!
