Fatal Frame Wii U + Nintendo Events it up + Destiny + More! :D

Man! It's Friday already... and it feels like the week flew by like a witch on a broom going back to the future! Its time for more games, event fun, anime and your chance to be part of a Nintendo tournament taking on winners... fresh off the stage! (Not baby powder fresh... but you know what I mean.)

Fatal Frame approaches, are you afraid? It's okay... we don't judge. :p

Nintendo should definitely continue for with the initiatives they've been pursuing to bring quality titles to the Wii U beyond the staples. I mean... they co-own this franchise which shouldn't be left on a shelf (like Shenmue shouldn't!). Fatal Frame should be great on the console and the gamepad'll likely prove to enhance the experience... as long as it doesn't get in the way via annoying repetitive gimmicks (though we feel confident that it won't... please!). I just want to see this upcoming title on the console and may it still carry weight when it comes to scaring the crap out of people (if you think you run the risk of "going" on yourself... play with a diaper on). I'm kidding... for the most part.

Check out the official trailer!

Featured Film... Tournaments... & Hours of Live Streaming... oh my!

Here's what you can expect from Nintendo at the San Diego Comic-Con 2014 (in a nut shell... ready?)... a nice amount of playable games, 3DS tournament action, a screening of the film "Bayonetta: Bloody Fate", and a chance for fans to soak it up in a live stream (via Twitch TV).

If you want to view the Bayonetta film... it will be showing Friday, July 25th (2014) at 9:35pm PT at the Marriott Marquis & Marina hotel (333 W. Harbor Drive, San Diego, CA 92101)... in Marriott Hall Room 4.

Comic-Con badges required.

The Nintendo Gaming Lounge will be accessible in the San Diego Ballroom (1st Floor) of the same hotel... and will run on the following days (open to the public):
  • Thursday, July 24th (2014) at 10am - 7pm to Sunday, July 27th (2014) from 10am -5pm

Games at Comic-Con:
There will also be Amiibo figures available... which will probably be on display only (if there isn't an assistant showing non-stop How-To's of how they work. There will also be a Tomodachi Life area for fans to mix & mingle, and since the game is a bit on the (hmmm)... crazy side, hopefully that area is also quite interesting.

There will also be another tournament for Mario Kart 8 at the event... and winners will be able to move on to an online tournament with gamers like yourselves (so keep a look out for online tournament codes and the schedule from Nintendo on their social media channels).

Destiny... we hope you are a great game that proves to be equally successful!

This games is a best seller prior to release and we hope that it doesn't disappoint anyone investing in the experience. If you're aiming on buy it... we recommend the PS3 version over the others if you don't wish to pay to play online, but if its something you already do... have at it (how long will the PS3 & 360 versions be supported? I have no idea, but that's something to consider if you are trying to decide). We're hopeful that this game truly does have a nice long life span... constantly growing and gaining the investment from players that truly benefit from logging long hours. Thinking back... Bungie constructed the Halo universe, and (assumptions are not good but at times it feels safe to assume something which...) in this case we feel that Bungie will deliver on an experience that takes players even deeper for longer than just a couple of years with this installment. I believe they held onto a few concepts until they could fly on their own again to deliver a title that blows you away... without being tied to a set platform.

A lot of people want to get in on the ground floor so that they are legends... and if that also floats your boat, game on!

Xenoblade Chronicles X is a different game, I won't compare them... but the time invested in each game will likely be heavy for the fans of each respected genre... and it truly is a beautiful thing when gamers are able to kick back and have a freaking blast. You're probably able to think back on some of the most awesome gaming moments in your life and how you never wish for them to fade from your mind. Obtain more!

I remember summers of gaming... before we could even play online... friends would gather up to play, eating a bunch of junk, watching movies and just having an all out great time. Beautiful memories and when great games are upon us (Mario Kart 8, Smash Bros, Destiny, X, etc.) it gets me excited thinking about the interaction and memories that may be created for even more gamers. Some don't know such joys because the focus is on being feudal fanboys & girls... but if you are reading this, you don't have all the time in the world to game (fact), so make the most of the time you have so that you can enhance your experiences (and not just in gaming) being able to look back with few regrets!

Fly high, gamers!
