E3 is coming up, it's breathing down my neck, we're resting up so that we're able to go hard on the upcoming articles. By the way, not sure if Crytek is cooking up anything for the Wii U or not, but whatever they aren't working on... they're unable to provide us with information about it (based on the recent request). :p

Europe will be getting a retail version of the game, while everyone will have access to digital download on Steam. I'm sure that the Summer 2014 release of this game will prompt a crap load of PC vs Xbox One comparisons... since you can enjoy the game at higher resolutions on PC and considering the fact that they've improved the textures, its going to look better. It doesn't change the gameplay... so get it on the platform you prefer.
To Ultra Street Fighter IV, Mortal Kombat X or both? (That's is the question.)
No matter how you answer, its the one for you. There are some gamers getting a little tired of Street Fighter 4, and a lot of complaints stemmed from DLC and the prior 2 versions (Super & Arcade Edition)... but if you are going to get any version... (if you haven't already), stick to the final form.
Ultra Street Fighter 4 is more balanced than the prior versions, 44 characters are on the roster (which include Elena, Rolento, Hugo & Poison, and Decapre) as well as new stages. Every game will not, and should not look the same, but it would've been great to see USF4 with deeper visuals. Anyway... you can get the game on PC, PS3 or 360 retail for $39.99 or update a prior version for $14.99 via download.
Take a look at this trailer for Mortal Kombat X (if you haven't already)... or if you just really want to check it out again. When I initially saw it, all I thought was... "I hope these are the visuals for the game". If they are... they definitely get props, and I hope that the game ends up being equally as good as the visuals or better. I think that the PS3 & 360 versions should be $10 less than the $59.99 PS4 & XB1 versions... unless they are equal in quality. If scenes are going to be film quality cinematics and the story is progressive for each character... i'd really be interested in getting my hands on this game, one story per character is okay, but progressive stories would be nice and would provide a lot more replay value to see things through (possibly for each character). I have to add that the costumes for Scorpion & Sub-Zero look great, fingers crossed that the June 30th (2015) release... rocks!
A fellow Nin-Dem mentioned that it would be nice to have Street Fighter and or Mortal Kombat released on the Wii U, and we agree... so be as vocal as you can about this stuff to show your interest to developers. You can comment below about games you like to see, or existing games you like to be released on other systems... communication goes a long way. ;)
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy | 3DS (eShop)
I saw this coming... but I didn't see it coming (lol) makes sense though.
This game will be released with re-drawn graphics and optimized 3D visual so that it can look (oh so) pretty on the Nintendo 3DS. I think they should go a step further and release the trilogy on the Wii U also. Either way, i'm glad that they are bringing this trilogy to the 3DS so that fans (old, new, and pending) are able to enjoy the original trilogy.
If it were up to me, I would try to tie the trilogy together into one seamless game where the cases run a connected story, not one long case but have clients come in seeking an attorney (and they happen to be those cases from each game instead of being segmented experiences). That would be pretty cool, and we could see how those cases and stories affect the clients and the team outside of the courtroom as we move on to others. We don't have a specific date of when this will be released but its safe to expect it around Winter 2014 on the 3DS eShop.
Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call, are you ready for more screen tapping musical action?
If change of pace games are something you seek, definitely consider giving this game a whirl because you don't get a lot of rhythm games on the 3DS (even though there are some) but consider this series more so if you're a fan of Final Fantasy games. The songs span a slew of final fantasy games as well as the Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children film. You have more modes in this game than the previous, including a head to head mode that increases the replay value... as well as Quest Medley, where you take on various bosses in music-based battles with your custom party of characters. Squall & Cloud would definitely be a part of my favorite party, but to each their own. :p
What's funny about this game, is that you won't find a lot of these games on a Nintendo platform beyond this game, and RPGs do fairly well on the platforms (from what I know)... so call it weird, but Square-Enix has been known to do some weird things. The game has over 200 songs, 60 playable characters, as well as cinematics, etc. You can get your hands on the limited edition for $39.99 (the game will be releasing Sept. 16th, 2014), if you pre-order... you get a 5-track CD sampler remixed music (from the game). I remember getting a 2 disc music CD with Final Fantasy X-2.

Speaking of Square-Enix and weird things, don't forget that they are bringing Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix to the PS3 (December 2, 2014) if its something of interest (E3 may cause some of you to reserve your money for other things things though. lol
Before you blow a gasket (about the whole "weird" thing), i'm not calling the game a weird thing... more so its always been weird that Square-Enix passed up Nintendo home consoles when it came to this franchise. However, unlike Xbox, the Nintendo has had multiple Kingdom Hearts titles on their handheld platforms, so call me crazy... but its weird to have the Xbox One receive Kingdom Hearts 3 only to have the Wii U passed up (when they finally decide to venture outside of Playstation consoles alone).
We received this game announcement around the 6th, and this is the perfect article to post it in. If you've wanted some mobile game love... here it is in the form of "Cross Horizon", an action RPG free-to-play game for iOS & Android. I don't know how vast the world is, but they said its pretty vast and the battles are intense. You have to visit guilds, accomplish various missions, fight all types of enemies, etc. as you seek to recover your memory (and the true intentions of the Bandit King).
Characters can be customized, as well as weapons, and armor... which is cool considering the multiplayer aspects (wouldn't want two of the same types... looking alike). We haven't had the chance to play the game yet, but it looks like it could be decent.
