Devil's Third... its deeper than we thought it would be

I had no idea that a trip from Disney would be followed up by an article centered around...
Devil's Third, but what the hell... here it is. :p

The BadBoys of Valhalla Games
I applaud Valhalla Games before the game even releases, why... why?! Its a game that appears to have one heck of a single player campaign, and one heck of an online multiplayer. Its a Third-Person Shoot/Combat game (as listed for the Wii U), and you are able to shoot from a 1st person view, run around and climb in 3rd person, throw swords in third person, melee in third person, etc. You're able to also use vehicles like planes, as well as enjoy multiple campaigns (which allow you to set up building the way you want). Customization's vary... the content is rich, and you don't have to pay additional for it from what we know (hopefully that doesn't change).

This is not a family game based on more than just the sexiness.
The shooter honestly brings newness to a genre challenged by originality, and to think... its a Wii U exclusive. We aren't doing a happy dance that it's a Wii U exclusive, but if you want the game... get it to support Nintendo's decision to help get this not so family-friendly title on the console. Support is proof that support is there for hardcore titles.

Kick some arse, take some names, rank up, create a clan, and all of that good stuff. If there will be multiple Nations available in this game, with various maps for each one... that is going to be freaking awesome, especially if they aren't cookie cutter, but the map customization options can change that up a little (even more so if you can change up more than the buildings).
Variety is good
Etc.
Take a look at some of the gameplay. Its not beyond the realm of possibility to us, but looking at this game makes me think of Shenmue and how Sega could employ Valhalla to do a full remake of the Shenmue franchise which can lead up to 3... update things a little to increase the depth and the possibilities (thanks to the updated tech) without taking away the charm and i'd love it. The Wii U gamepad could be used to dial phone numbers, check notes, your collection of items... usable items available, various learned fighting techniques, etc. That would be so wonderful (sigh).
Based on how much this game captures the interest of gamers... I could see this game's multiplayer possibly capturing interest for longer than the norm, especially if its not an annual shooter (because the audience wouldn't be stripped away by the newest installment). It just seems like it will be fun, and challenging with a twist of weird... and that's in addition to the main game. Overall if the single player campaign is really strong, and the multiplayer is sick, its safe to assume that we recommend it (if these sorts of games are your thing).

It's game time!
