Amy Hennig gone from Naughty Dog, Jack Tretton...on his way out of PlayStation, 3DS ventures cities of gold and Watch Dogs gets pushed back for Wii U (crap!).

Uncharted Creative director Amy Hennig is no longer with Naughty Dog, and Jack Tretton is leaving Playstation March 31st (2014)... wtf?! I hope this turns into something awesome for gamers.

Amy Hennig            Jack Tretton
While Amy was more so given the boot... Jack's situation was a mutual decision. I don't know what will happen with them in the future, but I hope that Amy makes a huge impact bringing us new IPs that weren't possible in her previous role (I hope Jack surprises us too). Some are concerned that this may be a result of Sony going bankrupt, but we can't say for sure and hope that isn't the case. It could have came as a result of Jack not wanting to receive a pay cut, and SCEA having no choice but to give him a pay cut instead of an maintaining or raising his current salary (if he remained). I wish them both the best, and may Sony remain strong for its supporters. It could turn out to be one heck of an April Fools prank.

The Mysterious Cities of Gold
The Mysterious Cities of Gold: Secret Paths was released back in November (2013) for the Wii U... and now its the 3DS's turn. Check it out in the eShop.

Other games now available:

NES Open Tournament Golf | Wii U ( Virtual Console)
BLOK DROP U | Wii U
Adventure Island II | 3DS (Virtual Console)
Vacation Adventures: Park Ranger | 3DS (eShop)

I can't knock these 4 games... to each their own (enjoy the variety), but I really wish that I could be reporting that the Wii U version of Watch Dogs would be available May 27th, 2014 like the others. Considering the fact that the Wii U version won't be available at the same time (if its even available in 2014), I am optimistic that they are doing something spectacular to give the gamepad justice... they'd better be doing something... considering the wait (in a game that would be perfect for it). It doesn't have to be gimmicky (which can hurt a game at times), but having the edge of accessing/looking at various cameras from a distance on the gamepad, etc. would be sweet... and they are expecting adults to buy it so there better not be any crap. I want to get the gamepad in my hands and feel like a complete bada** based on the games options. I think what might end up happening is that the Wii U version will be released alongside the Watch Dog app for tablets, but if those get released before the Wii U version also... there needs to be a good reason (beyond Ubisoft being paid to do so).

Gotta love the fact that they aren't doing what they did with Rayman Legends... because Wii U owners had to wait even when it wasn't necessary and the game lost steam. It shouldn't be the other way around either (because it shouldn't have been done in the first place and its not the fault of gamers) but its funny. Additional content for the wait would be great... and since they believe that second screen gaming is the future (props to Nintendo for that) I hope to see more in the Wii U games they release.

If you haven't been there and done that... BIT.TRIP Presents...Runner2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien is on sale for $4.99 from March 10th - 17th (2014).
