Sonic Boom: Sorry i'm not talking Capcom... this is a Sega game!
I keep looking at this game... and... I am looking forward to it (more and more), but I hope the developers MORE than just deliver! Their experience means nothing if it isn't displayed in their latest work, but i'm highly optimistic.
Sonic Boom has an open world feel for the most part, but it appears to have tracks, in addition to the combat (I was thinking that maybe a Sonic Heroes reboot was scrapped and this arose from the ashes). I'm good with a mix, but i'd look forward to more so free roaming in this game (like I often did in Sonic Adventure)... and if Sega does what I would do... this game would have various occurrences from the TV show released as DLC (whether its free or affordable. If the TV series proves successful... there should be plenty of content that can be added to the game if seasons continue)... OR they could have online events if the game has that type of replay value. Sega has done it in the past with Phantasy Star games, but overall... if its a great game and priced right... count me in.
I know that both versions of the game are being developed by developers that have worked on some pretty big games (at Sony)... and I can't wait to see the results they produce on the Wii U & 3DS.
I really do hope that these are cross platform and online playable also... because boosting that interaction includes everyone able to connect to the net or local multiplayer (though it may not be released in Japan). I'll be on standby, and if PS4 & Xbox One end up getting Sonic Adventure 3 (if that's the game that will be released in 2015)... that would increase the reason i'd want to get a PS4 (though i'd still wait for awhile).
