There are people pissed off about the games only being on the Wii U & 3DS... but the solution is just to get one or both of the systems. Buy any and all of the platforms you want (and can afford) because at the end of the day the earth won't implode based on you doing such a thing. Enjoy all gaming has to offer, being a fanboy or girl isn't the most rewarding thing in the world (i'd say), and that's not to say that you can't stick with one platform... some gamers just happen to like all the games available on a certain platform and are truly content.
Some are pissed off because of the way Knuckles looks, but it really doesn't matter... he simply has a lot more brawn and really represents his name (to me) even more. Sega of America's President & COO wants the Sonic brand to continuously evolve and appeal to new generations of Sonic fans. It's a fine line, but it will work out.
Had some complaining about how the development teams should've been working on Knack instead of Sonic Boom because this is the way Knack should look, and a Wii U game shouldn't be better or look better. (You may be thinking... what the wombat? But yes, this is EASILY one of the dumbest things I've heard in awhile... as if Nintendo isn't allowed to have good games... but that comment is more than late.) They weren't making the game for Nintendo, they were making the game for Sega, and if they were making a game for Nintendo... so what?! More games are a good thing and that's what's happening. They took the time to develop a game using Cry Engine 3 and modified it to allow for dual screens, them taking the time to do that gains my appreciation, and I hope to see the game do extremely well and blossom into a strong franchise on Nintendo platforms. (Since it doesn't replace the other universe, breathe easy and game on!)
The game takes place before the TV show according to Sega, each character will (obviously) have their own game play styles, and should compliment each other (though results vary based on your skills).
They definitely plan on giving Sonic Boom a lot of attention, and though its never safe to assume, I don't think they'd play with a huge initiative by serving up slop. If you're banking on a game, tv show, and toys that potentially increase the success of each other... you can't play around. I hope the freaking gloves are off and every bit of energy reserved for the initiative was put into it... and then some (for the benefit of consumers, Sega and their partners).
You don't need the most powerful system to make games worthwhile, you need good games to make a system worthwhile. -Baby Fury Gaming
